Do you have a time?
If you are asked by someone, "Do you have a time?"
this means asking you to have a time to talk...it is not true, though......in fact, asking you "what time it is now"
When I was in Vancouver, one guy asked me this quesiton on a skytrain.(kind of subway train)
I answerd "fifteen passed to four"
He replied surprisingly, "You mean it is almost four?"
I said"No, It is three fifteeeeeeeeeeen!"
He smailed at me and said"Thanks!"
Even if I know the meaning of his words, if he were a handsome guy, I will follow him and have a cup of tea!(hahaha....)
Have you been asked before?
Do you have time(to talk)?
